Babylon 5: Into the Fire. The Rebirth?

Friday, April 11, 2003
Codemasters, a publisher for many games including the award-winning Operation Flashpoint, has set up a questionaire asking about what games you think they should make based on books, movies and TV shows. Most of the questions deal with sci-fi shows, and Babylon 5 is among them.

Codemasters showed some interest in picking up Babylon 5: Into the Fire shortly after it was cancelled.

So head on over to the questionaire and give your input.

NOTE: You do need to sign up for an account on the Codemasters site, but registering is free.

Maybe we still have a chance to get a Babylon 5 game . Who knows.

Aaaah, yes, once again codemasters can save the day. I'm very grateful for their operation flashpoint and I hope I will be grateful again for their B5. (optimist here)

And yes a big for star trek, there's already much of that junk out there but no B5 (official one that is)

B5 all the way than SG-1 for a FPS or a MMORPG, would be nice... though imagine a B5 MMORPG... would be amazing...

I dunno.. B5 centres around a militaristic authority most of the time, with very little time talking about freelance freighter captains and stuff.. little scope for MM exploration and stuff without doing a load of belief suspension. Same with SG1.. it'd be great as a standard RPG/FPS thing, but not MMO.

The TV show itself centered around that but look at the number of traders and wonderers who came to the station over the years. There's a lot of exploration to be had, we just didn`t see it in the show cause the shows were concentrated around B5 itself, the rangers or the excalibur.

I suppose.. the thing is if you're gonna use a license it'd make more sense to make it based on what is actually seen in the show.. if you're gonna go around making loads of stuff up, and speculating.. well it'd be cheaper to make your own universe and not buy the license in the first place.
