New mission types whan'ted
I would like missions envalving captureing capships, and stations uesing the envader breaching pod, and some useing the escape pods? I also think we need missions where there is a mistory, even better a fleet defence mission?
I got loads of ideas and if any mission maker needs some ideas just PM me.

Is yours going to be an addon for the missions in R2? I got the campaign to work by the way.
Mission types:
Capture- note: contact with the people inside the ship would be a nice touch.
Misstory- things like a attack on a ship and you get there only to find that it's dead? trap time!
Scaning- Scan ships bound for a station or your space, then bam party crashers/the ships scand attack you
cargo taking- Fighting as a rader or in a PSI mission to take some cargo of great value
Hiperspace- misstory missions in hiperspace/ambush, or runing from a fleet
Trator- missions where you betray your frinds/enemys, or one were they trun trator on you and your wingmates
battles- not just kill the enemy fleet but have ships change sides or ram. Things dramatic like the loss of the Galatea in FS:1 Makes the horror of war show and thats what B5 showed the most.

Why not make the missions yourself? The hard part is coming up with good ideas...the easy part is using FRED2 (which is by and large the EASIEST mission creator and editor ever to grace the face of this planet).

Do not speak that name like it was mearly the name of a vessel,
it was something more, it was a dream come true...
It's loss was a disaster, not in military or humanitarian terms but worst of all, the loss of concept, an idea... a dream...
It's one experience you never want to live through...
Shivan bastards...
P.S.
Don't take it too personal, I was just kidding...
Have to make a damn FS1 campaign about the Galatea.... and stop dreaming about it!

The FS Campaigns (1 and 2) are both great.
With such missions like the Destruction of the Galatea or the Psamtik, you really get this feeling like in the "Battle of the Line" Mission in TBP . We are lost, there's no way to win.
Both the Psamtik and the Galatea seemed nearly undefeatable till their destruction.
Ok EA got their ..... kicked all the time before the last stand of, so it's not really good for comparing

Psst! EAS Janus! (which really didn't do much than ran away)
Well true on such superiority there isn't much to do, but there is couple notable ships like Lexington, Swarchkopf and very few other.
The gap between GTVA and Shivan are bit smaller than gap between EA and Minbari. EA vessels doesn't stand much chance to come close to Minbari ships like Sharlin. My opinion

Yes, the gap between the Shivans and the GTVA was much smaller than the one between the EA and the minbari, but the minbari didn't have the impenetrable shields of the lucifer or their massive Santhani (or is it santhanas?) fleet!!!!
But sure... the shivans didn't know how to use it into their advantage... that or they had a totally diferent agenda!
The Minbari on the other hand...

Except Warlock and Omega-X. But those weren't available during EA-Minbari War of course.

I doubt that Shivan are that stupid, so they must have another agenda than destroying GTVA.
Besides I would almost say (comparing at direct compatiable) that to EA Sharlin was at level of Sathanas
I agree with you Mr. Fury, but like you said they didn't have them then.

I'm currently working on two campaigns one involving the Narn/Centauri war and the other EA civil war.
The Narn/Centauri war will basically be like during WW2 when allied pilots flew in China under the Chinese flag against the Japanese. (Flying Leather Necks)
Both will include the capture and recapture of different ships. Narn campaign mostly by raiders the other by breaching pods. You will be required to scan cargo for illegal cargo at an EA Border station. Also in the EA civil war there will be quite a few accidents that will happen to pilots you fly with.
For the EA Campaign I need to find out how to have yes/no questions added into a mission (I.e. someone in your wing sends a message are you with us say yes your against Clark, say no you fight for him. I know this works through the communication panel but Im not sure how to put it in.
With this added in I will be able to slit the campaign into two different lines. One where you mostly attack and the other mainly defense.
If anyone knows how to set up a message option like that please let me know.

I thik you mean "Flying Tigers." Flying Leathernecks was another WWII aviation themed movie with John Wayne leading a group of Marine aviators across the Pacific. (Shot in color after the war)
Flying Tigers was about the American Volunteer Group (AVG or, "Flying Tigers") and was made during the war. It helped capitalize on the great propoganda that the Tigers were, as everywhere but China the allies were getting their asses handed to them.
Additional instances of pilots of one nation flying for another country were:
1) Russian pilots during Korea and Vietnam flying against US planes.
2) Russian "observers" flying missions for the Egyptians against Israel. (and getting smoked)
3) US "observers" in Southeast Asia
4) Free French, Polish, Czech and others flying for the RAF (but as part of the RAF, not as part of their own armed forces), many of these countries had aviators who also flew with the Soviets during the same time period.
