Square o'death

I posted this question before on hlp, but has anyone else had this problem in the fourth mission... There on the backround infront of the Hectate there is a colored square. Anytime that I view it I go straight to the desk top. Has anyone know of a fix? I am running it on a fresh install with no other mods.

Okay, I will try and replace all the pcx files. I will let you know if it worked. Or is there a way to check if it is corrupted?

Well, I checked them all out and they looked fine except the ambient ones. They were just gray pixels when I open them. I re-download the zip file and it was the same. So are those correct, in reference to the various color ambient pcx files?

Yeah...they are differently named because they have to be. Its juts an invisible image basically.

Well...next step. Open mission 4 in FRED and tell me if it crashes or displays anything odd.

Oh wait I was looking at the mission again in fred and it crashed after I closed the backround editor

I also saw a bitmap called p_dark8. Was this a custom map? Beacause I don't have it in my effects folder. Also, in the mission stats it say there are two suns; Sun_Yellow and Green. In the backround editor there is only a listing for the Yellow one.

That help any?

To play the mission, you can disable stars.tbl (rename it) and it will work fine. That will solve it in the interm. Should have mentioned that before.
