Braking thrusters
Hello all, you might see me from HLP. Well, I figured I would use this account for once.
I noticed this when I was messing with the tbl. files. I gave the Herc. II a speed of 300m/s but left the afterburners by themselves. And so when I fired afterburners I slowed down instead to speeding up. So I was thinking how the starfury has breaking thrusters. So you could give the starfury a high top speed but set its afterburner to 0. It would decelerate faster than if you hit stop (and I could use my joystick instead of searching for the backspace button), and it would make it a little more like B5.
Oh and by the way, this is a very nice mod you guys have here.

That sounds like a pretty good idea actually.

By that token, if you set the max afterburner speed to a negative number..... maybe you could fly in reverse.....

jst tried it myself, its pretty good apart for two problems:
1. the thruster things need to be changed so they appear at the front instead of at the back
2. the computer doesnt realise its different so when trying to speed towards a target it stops instead, usually resulting in getting shot and destroyed!
if anyone could sort these problems then this would be great!
