Babylon 5 mod ships... for another project.

Hi, you guys may remember me from the wc mod on the freespace.volitionwatch site... I've moved on from that project to bigger and better things.... anyway, i was wondering... I've been working with an open source engine recently called vegastrike, Http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net anyway we've gotten the engine to a decent stage, but we really need some meshes with glowmaps to show off the engine's potential, anyway i was wondering if i could use the babylon 5 mod ships from this mod for a vegastrike mod? it's an open source project completely non profit, runs on windows/linux/mac, and is privateer style, we want to attract more developers and we think these models could show off the full power of the engine... so how about it? can we use your meshes? full credit will of course be given...

Screenshots are cool looking.

I wouldn't mind if you use our models for this Vegastrike engine but then again I do not have the power to give them to you. You just have to wait for IceFires and modeller teams responds.

Vegastrike screenshots looks good.

And yup, you better wait for a response from IceFire and modellers.

Darkmage, why don't you participate in FreeSpace 2 Source Code Project? Both SCP and Vegastrike can possibly benefit from it...

WOW......
Really nice engine you got there...

I can see it now.... a mixture of "Wing commander: Privateer" and the Babylon 5's Universe.....

It would be a blast...

Look at the "thingy" in the left side of the radar...
Haven't I seen it in "Wing commander: Privateer"?

That whole cockpit is Wing Commanderesque, the Hornet from Wing Commander 1

Does Vegastrike use any of Howard Days models yet?

Perhaps it could be viewed this way,you can have the models but will cost more than an arm or a leg

LOL, I can't code... as for vegastrike... all the code is there anyone is free to it, as for the SCP, the main coder from VS will not work on the SCP, he refuses to touch anything else trust me i've tried to get him working on the icculus.org stuff.... basically he hates corporate code, and feels that using any SCP stuff would put VS at risk of contamination from Volition's code/legal licenses. no version of vegastrike has come out yet supporting the new graphics stuff... when that stuff hits in 0.4.0 we expect our fanbase to expand rapidly, then new graphics will make it surpass freespace 2, it'll be about level with the SCP... but the thing with VS that makes it better than FS2 is the play area is unlimited in size... also we can have 2d or 3d cockpits... infact it'd be pretty simple to port the entire fs2 mod not just the ships into Vegastrike.
