moddeling
Hey do you guys know where I can get a good price on truespace 6 or 5? Maybe acedemic versions? The reason I am asking is that I would like to take moddeling up as a hobby. and In specific moddeling for freespace 2. Do you know of any good books for moddeling?

modeling in truespace is very easy, dowload the demonstarion (I had the 5 version but theres no limitations I dont get it)
I learned all about modeling in a week without much effort, texturing requires more skill.
Once you get truespace investigate on boolean operations (intersect a cube with a sphere for example) point, vertex, edge editors.
its easy start by placing a primitives on screes (cubes cylinders cones and others) then select on by right clicking on them, a few mwnus will apear enabling you to edit faces, vertex, sizes, coordinates,add/delete these items, intersection tools, the works.
theres limitation you gotta obey for FS2 but those should be learnted later on.

I got Version 5 demo 18 months ago and I never had any time limit for it, nor any unusable commands, I would have to look to the original program to see the difference. (libraries and additional tools perhaps)
