I can't install Freespace Patch 1.2 (some "newer file, installation progress imposible") and therefore i can also not install TBP.
Has anybody a suggestion how to cure this problem?

You probably don't need 1.2 to install TBP. Its just good to be updated. Maybe you already have 1.2. Some boxes came with the 1.2 version.

Do you have the Sci-Fi Sim of the Year edition? If so, you don't need 1.2 - it's already there.

what manual? I didn't get anythingexcept box, cd's, quick-key reference card, and some adds.

Quite so, quite so; three cd's with FS 2 and this Addon with the "Hammer of Light" kidnapping a Carrier, the box and the keycard. So You think i can install TBP without updating, sounds good to me let's have a try.
