trying to get sorce mods working, see if this helps
ok I have made changes to tables and code in an effort to get the sorce code changes I've made to work well with TBP
go here and DL the exe and new tables and see if it works any better
MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A NEW PILOT at start up
I'm not sure if this is the origonal version or the patched one, so it might not work at all, or I may have forgoten something,
but I have to go to work now so play with this and report any crashings, and include the last ten lines in the debug spew or fs.log (if the crash takes debug spew with it)

Copying files included in TBPOpen.zip to right folders.
Trying to open Fred3.exe resulted in "This application has failed to start because MFC42D.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
Searching for MFC42D.DLL from Internet and installing the dll to the same folder where Fred3.exe is.
Again, trying to open Fred3.exe resulted in "This application has failed to start because MSVCRTD.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
Again searching for MSVCRTD.DLL from Internet and installing this too to the same folder where Fred3..exe is.
And now Fred3.exe gave error "The procedure entry point _chkesp could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCRTD.DLL".
I gave up... Fred3 is not going to work.
OS: WinXP and patched FS2 with almost latest TBP stuff installed. Except that I used tables included in TBPOpen.zip.

I just updated it becase I had made a stupid mistake I didn't think about, that'll cause a lot of crashing, have never seen or heard of that error before
the fred 3 thing isn't realy that important
with hope I can get this to run the origonal campain
oh and I got the code changes for slideing to be mapable, you can bind it to whatever you want from the options/contole config/ship thing, although I didn't make the table changes :/ oops, I'll have that fixed in the next up load,
and yes this has all the code changes I've made to date, from glow points to fighter beams to burner trails
ok im uploading a slightly updated version right now before I go to sleep and I am going to upload the two DLLs that you all said were missing that I located on my machine wich should end up here
oh, and also I got that anoying "jump animation being the same wether you're entering or leaveing hyperspace" thing fixed, now blue when leaveing orenge while entering

"Warning: A subsystem was found in model that does not have a record in ships.tbl"
Whatever that subsystem is I have no idea. This happens when trying to load a mission or trying to view the ship in techroom. At least Nova and hyperion produce this message. Could be others too.
And I used the tables that came with the download.

Same here. I suppose your build needs a bit more work, Bobboau.
Thanks for your hard work in any case.
