Raider Battlewagon

The "Raider Battlewagon" as featured in Thirdspace. Smart money says it's a converted Narn Bulk Freighter.

Paint the model by editting the template graphics files supplied using a paint package such as Paint Shop Pro. View the results by looking at the model in some 3D viewer package such as 3D Exploration. There's a small reference pic supplied also.

If someone can do a decent paint job the model will feature in the mod. Otherwise it won't. The team's texturers have bigger fish to fry.

Download here:

Yeah d00ds, you texture, map, convert, and make a table entry for this thing and you've got yourself your own little piece of R2! What are you waiting for?

This is only happening for extreme low priority models. We still have four very talented texture artists in Cpt White, Tomcat, Haderak, and Wildlife. That said, the Raider ships released are extreme low priority models. With the workload on our texture artists going outside the team is the only way you'll see them fully in the mod any time soon. The flip side of course is that if you guys do get your act together the Raiders will be completely kitted out as a fighting force very soon. That's gotta be a plus for all you mission designers out there. So do the publicity for us people, ask around, get these models painted.

Don't worry about conversion or table entries. This is painting by numbers people. We do the rest. In fact I had Battlewagon in game earlier fighting an Olympus. Olympus won obviously. Battewagon roars like a tiger, fights kitten. Don't forget the Raider CNC Transport/League Base in all this. It's a real cutie pie.

Please note the Battlewagon archive requires the new version of WinRAR from rarlabs.com to uncompress. Otherwise you'll get errors.

I'm having probs viewing the Battle wagon with 3d exploration. I have the newest winrar extractor and the newest version of the freeware 3d exploration now known as deep exploration. I have absolutly no problems viewing the C&C transport so I have no idea why I can't see the darn thing. If n e one has a suggestion on how to view the model, please let me know. Thnx.

Works fine for me. WinRAR extracts the file and 3DE views it.

The Narn textures are ok. Lighten up that texture on the main cylinder a little and make it less repetitious. Use the AOG model as a reference. The nose looks a little strange now. It should be a very dark mechanical style texture with 3 lighter coloured metal bands on it (representing the 3 rings that go around the nose).

Those flat things on the back are supposed to be runways leading to the hangers I think. They could probably do with some runway like markings. Why would a space vessel would need runways? That's a very good question.

Does it look more like a bus or a pregnant pencil? Just how horrible does this ship look? Is it more or less horrible than the Raider Carrier? Discuss.

If you can take those ideas on board and any other good ideas that come up then I can get this model completed. It's not worth spending a massive amount of time on.
