Disk Read Error

I just bought Summoner 2 and it won't load on my PS2. All my other games work fine. Has anyone else had any trouble getting Summoner 2 to load on the PS2?

Yikes!

I haven't had THAT problem, but my PS2 takes FOREVER to first read the disk to get the game started. I can have the disk in there already, turn it on, and it will still go to the PS2 menu (with browser and config) and just sit there for quite a bit and then finally load. With that message though, I'd just take it back to where you go it and exchange it for another copy.

Well this is the second copy I've tried. I rented it from a local video store and that copy wouldn't play either. I have done some more searching online, however, and have discovered that my PS2 is the SCPH-30001 version, and apparently we can get it fixed by Sony. So I am going to send it in and see how it works when I get it back.

Yeah, Sony made a lot of mistakes and there are quite a few PS2 versions...
