Problem with a FS1 mission

I decided to play FS1 all the way through again a few days ago, and everything was going fine until I reached the mission where you escort the Galatea through an asteroid field to a jump node. When the Galatea reaches the node, it doesn't jump out like it's supposed to. Instead it stops, spins round horizontally until it's facing back out of the node, and then sits still, doing nothing. Occasionally it will spin all the way round, sideswiping asteroids all the time, and keeps doing this until it eventually gets destroyed. I don't remember having any trouble with this mission before. I've already tried reinstalling the game, and I have the latest patch installed. Is there any way I can bypass the mission or something?

Did you extract the mission and hack it? If you changed the Galatea's orders from Waypoints Once, to Waypoints. This is EXACTLY what happens.

Did it happen only once or does it happen everytime you replay the mission?

I've played it at least 6 times now, and it does the same thing every time. I haven't edited the mission at all. I was thinking of trying that to see if I could see anything wrong, but I've not got around to it yet.

I had a look at the mission in FRED, and everything looked OK as far as I could see. I changed the Galateas jump delay from 6 to 0 seconds, saved it, and played the mission again. This time it worked fine
