Similar to Summoner?

Having completed Summoner I would like a new challenge. I would buy "ummoner 2 but as I only own a PC and a PS1 I don't want to have to buy a PS2 to buy one game (especially if I don't enjoy it!). Are there any games similar to Summoner (in terms of weapons, time period etc. note- I have tried RPG's with guns and I don't like them) that are available on the PC or preferably PS1?

RPG's for the PC
- Morrowind
- Icewind Dale
- Neverwinter Nights
- Dungeon Seige
- Planescape: Torment
- Diablo 1 & 2
- Baldurs Gate
- And a lsit of about 1 million more

I've never come across a game entirely like Summoner but there are so many out there it's worth downloading a few demos to see what you like.

If you like Summoner, I suggest you try playing Octagon's GOTHIC for PC. The only major difference is that you play Gothic with one character i.s.o. a party, but otherwise it is a very similar game. I liked Gothic even better than Summoner (up to now that is; I have only just finished Lenele + its sewers!).

Both games are almost identical in overall "atmosphere" & gameplay, but in my opinion Gothic was easier to "manage" (i.e. interface, camera, combat & searching for items, which I think has been made rather difficult in Summoner since you have to stand pretty close to crates in order for them to "light up" + if you see a lever, it sometimes takes a while before you find the exact, small spot where the creators want you to hold your mouse in order to "use" them).

[OTF]Joker obviously knows his RPG's !! One game I'd add to the list (esp. because of its high replayability) though, is DARKSTONE.
