I am not sure how picky this board is but here goes. The RF 1.30 patch was released today in 3 versions. English, French and German. You can D/L all three at my site. Hit the sig.

its gay the way he has it set up, no offense guy, but it is. Just click his sig, then click english, french, or german? in his news post update thing, and you will start downloading it all.

Well you see its a different download if you have English French or German.

If you could honestly think of a non gay (as you put it) way of hosting 3 files that wont confuse even the stupidest of people Id like to hear it.

we need to have organised 1.3 fragfests
VW guys I know you havn't been as involved in this comunity but this could be RFs version of the frenzy
at the very least we should get inter-board cooperation in getting this thing used

You can run rf 1.2 and 1.3 if you wanted to. Whut I did was rename rf.exe(1.3) to rf13.exe and made a shortcut to it on me dektop. You dont get the pretty launcher but you can easily switch back and forth b/n versions.

I meant, so I could play on a 1.2 server while waiting for someone to join a 1.3, useing 1.3, I know it's easy to swich, but it is just inconveniant to close out one open the other see nobody's there then close that one and open the old one

I didn't mean it was gay because of the three versions, I meant it was gay because the words aren't highlighted or anything, so it's hard to figure out where the hyper links are to download them. If he would have made three links, in some obtrusive color, outside of the news update thing, it would be easy to find and download the files. Right now, you would have to figure out which words in my post are links, and click those to get the files, rather than have a list:

English
French
German

To click from. It's a matter of being able to find the download, not the way it's organized.

as a server owner on here... a server thats been packed latly

I have a small yet reasonalble problem with 1.3.. I am also leader of a small and up and becoming clan. and we are looking for new talent to fill our ranks. this wont happen on 1.3 unless it somehow becomes a in game update.
do yo upoeple realize that it takes a player forver sometimes to figure out there are more maps out there .. much less a update..
also i would like to know more of this update..cause how do wee know the players that made it didnt make a back door or so...

Come on Vett.........do you really think these guys worked so long and so hard on this patch just so they could have a "backdoor" to win matches?

Gleagues matches in the Proving Grounds Tournament are all 1.3 now.

We will...if its not on our severs already...it should be. This is community stuff and our site tries to be as community oriented as possible. Sometimes thats dang hard...but we try. This is one case where we can definately provide.

As for getting ourselves more into the community, I'm hoping that role will fall to cece who seems most rooted around here. And you guys like her the most it seems.
