You know when you push credits in the game you get pictures together with the credits, and the sketches show ships that didn't make it in fs2 (or they were meant for fs3)....

You made some ships by that model or all from your headZ?

Those sketches are called "concept art". They aren't ships that didn't make it into the game (in most cases), they are ships that are in the game...just redesigned and changed and modified between concept and final.

All of our models are basically original concepts. Nothings truly original, but they aren't direct copies.

Thats all great and good, however there was concept art in fs1, which turned out to be the ships in fs2...

Although I didn't find that concept art for FS1, I did find [url=http://www.descent-freespace.com/goodies/gallery/]some pretty good pics[/url] of FS1 renderings, including [url=http://www.descent-freespace.com/goodies/gallery/big/stillmainhall02.jpg]this huge rendering of the Bastion Main Hall[/url] that shows tons of detail.
