Of course, given that rfhq requires you to register before you can even see anything (ghey) linking to a page there probably isn't the brightest idea in the world...

Dont know but that link should go directly to the patch. And if it doesnt work its in houseofplus.com's download section.
I wonder if the people at V would host it so it would autoinstall with teh update button. Of course after testing is done. But after initial testing its looking quite good for us RF'rs as trainers are detected and not allowed to join multiplayer games and even a slight edit on the ui file wont let RF run in multi
Everyoen spread teh word around. The faster this gets around to the players the faster it will go to the servers.
SPREAD THE WORD! RF has been saved.

Works fine for me
I've got reports that No-CD cracks don't work, but that serves them right
tested:
Warlords - All weapons minus the FRL, geomod, capped out at 9.
Nemisis - Just started lvl, no peeps = boring, so I left
Test Machine Specs:
AMD Athlon XP 1700+ (1.47Ghz)
512 MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM
GeForce2 MX 400 64MB VRAM o/c to 228/190
Win98se
56k modem @ 45,333Kbps
Some no-CD cracks work, some don't.
And I've since been told that the patch makers ARE working on a no-CD crack. For people that have bought RF and have multiple systems of course.

They are developing a NoCD crack vet so no worry. And actually it works just fine if you update to 1.2 then crack it and patch to 1.3, no probs what soever.

Yeah my RF worked just fine with no cd in the drive.
YAY 1.3 now we need to get servers to run it :-)
Hotswapping b/n the 2 is easy as well..Just copy and paste yer RF and redfaction exe's and copy them back and forth to 1.2 and 1.3. Already 1 dedicated server is running 1.3 :-)
Its only 1 but its a start

Maybe we should start a list of servers that run the patch, so all of us can meet on it, or at least populate it and get the word round.

This patch will be placed on all +PLuS+ servers once it's been fully released and will be the standard for GLeagues.

Please dont spread the beta patch around yet. It is not ready for full release. It is just for testing.

Heres my outlook Dr@gon.
We cant very well test it until some of the cheaters try to test it so thusly we need a fairly large install base. As well the servers wont pop up until word gets around and when the servers do go up all the players will be dumbfounded esp the n00bs.
Not to mention the fact that us hardcore players arent as intent on testing as some of teh cheats will be. I mean face it. most of us(at least me) have never even bothered to touch the ui.vpp so me as a tester is kinda stupid because im oblivious as to how to cheat.
What we need are some of the most pain in the ass modders to try to sneak in. Otherwise a beta test will test nothing.

Why so much hostility towards us at the HQN over here? Did we do something to upset people? I feel like we're Microsoft or something...

I am certainly NOT blaming anyone for the death of my cat (with the possible exception of the Nazi next door.) I was trying to point out to Admiral LSD the absurdity of his fear of registering. Lots of forums are going that way. It is a security feature. Get over it.
