BWO demo voice acting

Oki buddies...I have started work on the voices for the BWO demo. There are not much big parts but quite a few with few lines. Oki...now actors are needed. If you volunteer to voice act, please send me a sample saying the following line, to me:

"Alpha wing, get in position. Beta wing, cover us. No one to be left, get them all".

Please record this line in 44 Khz, 16 bits, MONO(!!!!) and then send it via mail to me. My eMail addy for this is

yogi@jo-loeschner.de ...

And I have the feeling that finding an actress for Alpha 2 is again a very hard act. So please start now asking your female relatives and friends to voice act for BWO.

Note: the people who already acted for TBP or IFH don't need to send me samples. Just an eMail saying me that you want to record is enough then.

Oki...now send me samples. The sooner I have em, the sooner I will ship scripts out, the sooner the BWO demo will be released.

I am semi-interested but I havn't got the best equipment, How do I change my record settings to be more acurate? I have 44,100Hz, 16 bit, mono lol, is that ok?

Don't worry about the equipment. A cheap 5 $ mic is pretty sufficient. The non-vasudan recordings are also not that crucial, they will be dissorted anyway since it comes from a radio.

As for the programs I suggest Cool Edit 2000 or Goldwave...you can get them at syntrillium.com and goldwave.com.

Here some additional things:

-don't breath or speak directly into the mic (that will do some nasty plop and hiss sounds)

-place the mic aside your mouth

-completely shut off your room...deactivate any unnecessary devices.

-don't touch the mic

-don't kiss the mic

-try to make a clean recording. When you recorded hear over it again and please do not listen to your voice (you might hate it , but I do not) but have an ear for recording errors, like louder clicks. If you see such a thing.

-save the file as MP3 (64 kpbs at least), wav or ADPCM wav (highest quality)

-do not make any cool effects on it...I'll handle everything from my place....

I guess that's it
