Demoting

I there any way to have an event that demotes the pilot at the end of the mission, like the event that can be used to promote pilots?

Pilots aren`t promoted by an event. They are promoted based on score. When your score hits a certain amount you get promoted instantly (unless promotions have been disabled in FRED for that mission).

Pilots aren`t promoted by an event. They are promoted based on score. When your score hits a certain amount you get promoted instantly (unless promotions have been disabled in FRED for that mission).

Yeah, I know that. But you can use the grant-promotion event. It's not in the list of events, you have to manually type it in.

Kaj that is for FS2 main campaign and multiplayer only (the score way I mean)...

You can grant a medal or promotion with event: "grant-promotion" & "grant-medal"...

If you`re going to demote a pilot be prepared for a lot of very pissed off players though

heh heh heh, someone should make a long hard campaign that slowly takes the player all the way up to admiral but then in one swift demotion at the end of the last mission, back to ensign

Lol, it wouldn't be for public release or anything. It's so I can demote my own player which obtained a stupidly high rank because of the grant-promotion thing. Trouble is, I have quite a high number of kills and everything that I would rather not lose in creating a new pilot, but I'd like the rank to look normal again.
