Stupid bug with Freespace 2
I have a rather amusing problem with Freespace 2. Whenever NTF Iceni is on the game, it appears as Gtf Ulysses class fighter. So, it's kinda difficult if the mission objective is "Protect NTF Iceni from Massive Shivan Assault". Yeah right, a single fighter.
A logical solution anyone?

Sounds like you've got mods installed - that's the most common cause of this kind of thing. If you have any - uninstall them and see if the problem persists.

There is an option to deactivate deralict or something like that in your main fs2 directory. Click on it and everything will be back to normal. If you remove deralict you`ll have to reinstall it to play again.

Just rename the table files in the /data/tables directory. Change them to ships.tbl.der or something.

Ok, thanks for the answers, I'll see what I can do. But I won't delete Derelict now, I discovered that it rocks again yesterday. Hehe.

Just a quick question: Even after doing that the Derelict skins (particularly the one from the Knossos) still filtered into the game. Short of continually renaming the Derelict VP is there any way around that?

Admiral LSD: Assuming you have HD space to spare, I think the only way to do that (and keep them both installed) is multiple copies of the \data dir.
That is, have \data-derelict and \data-freespace2 (or whatever) and rename them to \data as needed to play various mods. Lot of duplicating, but it's invaluable when you want six mods installed at once. For what it's worth, I keep two around. A clean copy of FS2's data, and The Babylon Project.

I do that myself but it doesn`t help you if the campaign you are disabling is in a VP cause it will still be accessed by Freespace.
The Deralict reskins would still be used.
