PLEASE HELP: Something very wrong with my file

I just completed FS2 to get all the medals, but something has gone horribly wrong.

When I look at my stats screen, I have an outrageous amount of kills. Also, it does not list all of the ships that I remember killing and it has some ships that I could never have killed. It even says that I killed a Colossus at one time.
Also, when I look at the tech screen, I hardly have any ships or weapons listed there.

I'm talking about a 1-Player file on the FS2 main game. I have no mods installed. I have used no cheats.

What's wrong? Please help me put this all right again...

Have you ever had mods installed? Installing then removing mods could do it.
