Trivial Question
How many humans died in the Earth-Minbari war? Was it half a million or half a billion??

I don't know about the whole war, but 20,000 went into the Battle of the Line and only 200 came out again.

Not sure, but it was most likely somewhere between 70.000 and 100.000.
Minbari killed mostly only military men and women, that is why so few humans were killed when you compare it to first or second world war.

In ITB they said that Minbari destroyed only military targets, and left the civilian population alone. And after all EAs offensive capabilities are neutralized, they would come back and slaughter eweryone. If this is true, civilian casualties should have been fairly low...

By the way, weren't those colonies cut off from EA forces pretty unsafe place to be in if there wasn't any military assets left to protect them. This lack of security might have caused some additional casualties. You know without protection from Raiders and stuff..

Even so half a million is really nothing i think. 500, 000 soldiers killed, boy the EA military is small.

In the Season 2 episode "And Now For a Word", the reporter asks Delenn how she might be perceived back home after her race wiped out a quarter of a million humans during the war. Quarter of a million, or 250,000.
