We've the big exlusive this time on the latest happenings at the Volition office. Is it a conspiracy? A coverup? Or just some crazy person eating beef. Read on:
Early this week, Erik Hernandez, QA Tester for THQ currently stationed at Volition, signed a contract by Jim Boone stating one simple thing: He would have to eat 48 ounces of beef within one hour.
So, what the heck did we do? We went out to a local establishment that served the "Beefeater," 48 ounces of beef, and watched as Erik attempted to uphold his contract with Jim Boone.
Unfortunately, this was no simple task. Erik was under pressure, lots of it. He was emailed by people he didn't know, wishing him luck. This would be no internal and quiet contract. This bad boy was public.
While there, four Volition employees decided they would show Erik up, and eat one themselves. Jiovanie Velazquez, John Enricco, Mitri Van, and Tim Schroeder were the Volition participants.
Let the fun begin.

Unfortunately Erik did not fullfill his contractual obligations and was shamed and mocked relentlessly. When asked about the ordeal, all Erik could say was "Dude, I'm going to eat one next weekend."
Will Erik complete his quest and save face? Will he fail and continue to be relentlessly shamed? We shall see, Erik Hernandez, we shall see.
