Exclamation Need Help With A Mod

Hey, the VBB was a real big help to me and I hope this one will be too. Anyway, I make my own mods and i want to change the muzzle flash color to Blue on the Heavy Machine Gun. But I change it in the Effects.tbl and it does nothing differnet. Help Please.

In weapons.tbl there is a little 9 digit number on any weapon with a muzzle flash (xxx, xxx, xxx) this is a RGB color value. so to make the muzzle flash bright red you would make it 255, 0, 0. To make it Green you would make it 0, 255, 0 etc. Hope this helps.

They are right if it´s the muzzle flash "lightning" you edit. Otherwise you have to replace the muzzleflash texture. Look in weapons.tbl to see what muzzleflash texture each gun has.

thnkas guys but i know how to do it now before yall replied. and i know RGB code. i had to use a program to change the color of the tga file to blue using microsoft publishing. i also made a green fusion rocket. its pretty cool. i still want to change a vfx file so if anyone knows how to do that i would appreciate you telling me.

You need 3D Studio Max 4 and the RF Tools. RF Tools has a plugin for Max which allows you to export a model with animation as vfx.
