Eeeeideeeeiot!
I think it's my personal responsibility to make sure this person's comments are heard. laff.
quote: Sent in by Guerilla:"Jp"
A brand new version of Red Faction is now among us. Red Faction with MODS. Personally I hate MODS.Mods are ruining the whole game, why should we keep them? They make the game Absolutely Sh****.Like When u make a brand new server and someone comes in, u say sup and they fly over your head and kill u with AK-47's and all different kinds of guns. Now i'm not saying i can't beat a modder, i just think it's not fair. Now if anyone finally listens to me i say anyone who modds Ban them from the servers shut down all the Modding only servers and get everyone to play the game right. As for Arctic Guerillas (my clan)the clan is a anti-mod clan and i hope soon all calns will be.
#1 Patch
#2 KICK THEM IF ITS YOUR SERVER
#3 SPEEL CHKEC
#4 MODS PWN J00
See, even though there are a handful of people out there making bad use of their ability to write a simple table mod for RF, there are plenty of teams out there working on decent mods -- and they outnumber the few annoyances. THe benefit lies in that we can make use of RF's engine to expand our gaming endeavor. So please, read much much more before you shoot down all mods completely

Next time you wonder why I am always tediously close to falling off into the pit of insanity, now you know what assaults me each time I turn the computer on.

*pauses in his hysterics long enough to post a reply*
Umm...okay, a logical question: What the f**k was he trying to argue? That mods are pointless? Give him a copy of FS2 and TBP or Warzone and see how he likes it...
*considers the wisdom of giving an obvious dopebrain a perfectly good game and begins laughing again*
Apologies for insulting him, but my god are people THAT stupid? Wait, this is humanity I'm talking about.
Sooo...I'm more than happy to vote "This guy is clueless."

That's the pain of project leader and a man's who has been around so long that he's part of community's heart and brain.
You know, I have no intends to never take leader's position, I couldn't take the stress.
Wonderful... wonderful... Our modding demigods (I'm not talking only about you Brando. ) are people that have earned our respect. I'm talking about many project leaders, administrators and people who have been around from nearly the beginning. And I'm not talking only about Freespace, there are many other communities as old as this.
Some people are natural leaders, they can't do everything, but leader's most important ability is to keep his team organized, happy and in co-operative mood. They also have to sustain insane amount of stress... which I'm not happy at all, but I suspect it's part of their leadership... Usually all questions, whinings, demandings and so on are sent to the project leader...
Oops, I went little out of topic.
Anyways, I'm happy that we have capable leaders and supporting community. Of course every community has their black sheeps (Sorry BS ).
*vanishes again back to the mist*

Bah! The weird mails I get... Ace just *happens* to be the top of the FSW staff list, so I wind up with all of these:
"I heard about this one awesome campaign which was in page 30 of the archive posted two years ago. It looks AWESOME... I want to download it, can;'t find in in the acrhivwes!!!!! Where is it?!!!! WHAT DO YOU MEANT UNHOLY ALLIANCE IS CANCELEDLD!!!!!"
Also Brando, the problem is giving the man a spoon, now if you gave him a fork you'd be putting some chlorine in the genepool.

One time way back, a friend and I were playing RF on its' equivalent to PXO, when some guy with hacked tables come in and decimated our whole team; he'd hacked his tables to give himself a rapid-fire Fusion Rocket Launcher.
