How does one change a user name in here???
I am trying to use my normal username but when I signed up it gave me a partial of my email. How do I change it to use my normal online username: "Dreadnaught"

Sorry but this version of vBulletin does not support (or is disabled at least) changing username afterwards.
Also, I'm still complaining about when I try to change settings in "Edit Options", and then trying to apply them, all I get is only blank white screen and nothing is changed.
I have tried it with IE6, Netscape 6.2 and Opera 6.1, this happens every time...

Same think happens for me. I'd like to change options but it only gives that white screen

msmith45... please read more carefully...
I said that I tried IE6 (and that's the darn Internet Explorer 6), Netscape 6.2 and Opera 6.1 (which is by the way the best of the three)
And most likely Warlord also used IE6.

Fury, you do realize I'm doing this in IE6, right? I got it to work for me.
Maybe you should look at your ActiveX/cookie settings, fiddle with them a bit, see if it'll go anywhere. Worth a try.

The funny thing is that I have tried various settings, three browsers... whatever, nothing helped. And on other hand, my other account settings just works fine in other vbulletin boards where I have registered.

I have the same problem with the edit options page... I even tried it in IE to confirm if it was an Opera problem or not. Even after reading this and resetting my IE security settings, zip.
edit: no dice with Mozilla 0.9.6 either...

Actually, Edwin, to be very precise (thanks Orange) I've got administrator priviledges.
And the options I see in my Edit Options screen are just the same as everyone else's. I wasn't always on VW staff, you know ...

Then shouldn't your name be italicised in the "Currently Active Users" thingo at the bottom of the front page?

No ... I have full control over everything except a single function (the admin CP) which is also the flag for italicizing names. There's also no function in there I need, so it's no big deal. But technically it still is administrator-level access.

I was reading the FAQ and I found this:
quote: It is your resposibility to keep the information in your profile up-to-date. You should especially ensure that your email address is kept current. You can alter any of the fields in your profile, except your username.
I think this answers the question. I wish you could change your username however.

I get the same thing but only when trying to change things under the Edit Options header. Under the rest (Edit Profile, etc) it works fine. I was only trying to answer the start question: Can you change your username? Answer, no.
As to the white screen problem I have no idea how to fix that.

However, some vBs such as Warpstorm and Anime Forums allow you to change you user name but they may be hacked to allow that...

I also get the white screen and have no idea how to solve it, nor what causes it.
