New EA Dreadnaught/carrier

i felt a warlock era carrier/dreadnaught was needed - after all the warlock is techincally an assult ship -this one is space combat - faster than the warlock carriering greater antiship weaponary but less long range planetary bombardment weapons - two hangerbays so can carry twice the fighter compliment of an omega

8 G.O.D beam cannons - 4 bow mounted and 4 aft mounted - all round defence is provided by omega stile pulse/beam turret combos plys afew heavy plasma cannons to round things out - shes got cystaline plastasteel armour that deflects 80% of the damage and a powerful stnadard drive system with a fully functional gravimetirc drive system too - basically earth built minbari engines

this provides the ships with good manervability for a ship this size still not as mananervble as the sharlin but far closer than any other EA capital ship - speed is alos not quite upto the sharlin either but close - but to compensate she severly outguns the sharlin and has better armour too

this is the Nemesis class Dreadnaught

Unrealistic but nice mesh, needs a bit improving though.
But once again I would like to point out that we need excellent designs for other races too.

Currently Minbari needs another fighter and cap ship. Even the Minbari should improve their ships over time, especially when EA and Centauri is so close to match their ships.

Perhaps a new independent fighter design for Raiders, and perhaps even moderate cap ship. Raiders are a powerful group, they have necessary contacts.

Non-aligned worlds.
Drazi have Storm-/Nightfalcon but needs another fighter which is fast and manveuverable.
Brakiri needs a better cruiser which can actually even win in battles, and a fighter.

We saw several designs in later topics, they were good but they could be better... *hint* *hint*

Good point Mr Fury. Also, I'd rather not use non-canon designs unless they are extremely good ones (no offense) like the Ardvark, the Tempest, and the Triton.

AoG should definately be a source for semi-canon designs.

no offense taken i didn't desgn it for the mod - i was just wanting to make a new EA capital ship that would make even a shadow ship think twice before engaging

hmmm great design and all if a little too powerful, but what I liked about Babylon 5 is that the Humans were one of the more primitive races, like in ItB they were like children just entering the adult's space. I really don't like how the EA and Centauri ships are starting to get nearly as powerful as the Minbari ships, especially in the course of 20 years.

I like the introduction of new ships. Help people do campaigns set years after Babylon 5.

wanna see where the four major race's ships stand strength-wise?

watch this movie: ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/tv+movies/spacebattles/ua.zip

I seriously think its a very accurate representation.

I thought there were more than enough ships already to make. Why are you adding ships that were never seen in the show?

Actually the number of canon B5 ships is less than original FS2 ships. So that's why we are adding non-canon designs as well, because there is room to do it.

More ships we have, more versatile missions we can make.
Different ships offers different missions.
More ships, more missions, more fun.

the strenght of the major races varies greatly - during the ea minbari war all but the league worlds could take eart aliance easy - by b5 starting time ea was on par with the narns - not even close to the centarui or minbari yet - by crusade time ea can build ships that can scare minbari ships but in acaul battel minbari probally still jsut have the edge all comes down to the battle - although if you consider the victory class ships to be human shiips then wohooo were the most powerful race in crusade times - at a guess i'm going to say 20 years after the end of b5 the earth alliance would be perhaps the most advanced race - that of cource would probally spur the minbari on to do some research but i dont think they are much on research - religious - warrior and worker - there is no scientific caste

go us =) we rule lol
