Hyperspace
I'm trying to make a mission set early in the earth-mibari war, before the destruction of the black star, and I want it to take place inside hyperspace.
Only one prob, the hyperspace nebula effect and my computer don't seem to agree with each other. Has anyone else experienced this prob? is there a fix?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.. but the "takes place in hyperspace" tag in FRED2 is a leftover from Fred1, and does not function - or at least doesn't function correctly in Freespace 2.
I am aware someone worked out that replacing or adding a pallette file of some kind made hyperspace missions work in Freespace 2.. however I'm not sure this works with the Babylon Project.
Also, the hyperspace effect will NOT look like the Babylon 5 hyperspace effect.. so I'm thinking you may have to change your ideas here.

Checking the subspace box in fred does cause it to crash unless you download the subspace effects file but to the question I have no prob with the hyperspace neb effect...

For me the hyperspace effect included in the mod looks really messed up. I get huge yellow boxes floating around, and the colors are all weird.

that would be because it's not "included in the mod" - its not even included in Freespace 2.. if it works, it merely works as a leftover from Freespace 1. If it doesn't work properly, then... well, we never said it would.

Hello? are we all on the same page here? Are we even on the same chapter?
I am not talking about subspace effect from freespace one, because the subspace effect has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with babylon-5 hyperspace.
I am talking about the black-and-red-with-lightning nebula effect one of you chaps put in the mod, which worked on my comp all of once, before it degraded into yellow and red squares.

we have 2 things here people, the babylon project does come with "poof" nebula clouds to try and recreate hyperspace in a freespace 2 nebula, alas some people have problems, it was a rush job and will be improved i promise
