Mission Contest Details
Hey guys. Here's the scoop on the mission design contest.
We've recieved quite a few entries and I think more than enough to warrant closing the contest or I'll be evaluating missions till the sun explodes.
If you've been working on something this entire time, I'd suggest sending it in by 12:00 midnight EST. I'll be closing the contest at that point. This does not mean that you can send in any revised copies of your mission starting now. If you've already submitted a mission, that is your representative (the few who did this at the start of the contest will be accepted for the sake of fairness to them).
I'll be e-mailing those who win sometime in early December when my classes are over and I have enough time to fully test out each mission.
Thanks for everyone's involvement and effort!

I've got a few questions I hope you wouldn't mind answering.
I just sent in my mission at about 2105 Pacific Time. A few minutes past midnight over on the East Coast. This wouldn't by any chance disqualify it, would it?
In my panic to get it out the door, I used IceFire's email address on the TBP home page (where the news is posted) rather than the telefragged.com one. Will that be a serious problem?
From now on I vow not to wait until the last fifteen minutes to iron out balance problems. Oh, wait, I did that last time.

Not a problem and not a problem. I use the same address virtually everywhere (@telefragged and @volitionwatch are the same address really so no worries either).

By the number of people sending missions to IceFire, it suggests that there are a fair few user-created missions out there. Would it be possible for people to post some of these on TS_Sheridan's site (not necessarily the ones you entered)?
Just asking as it would be nice to have a new "fix" of missions

Icefire, is it ok if I post my entry mission(s) to TS.Sheridans site? would give people some more missions to play. Or is it that you are going to release them after the cometition or someting.

I personally wouldn't have thought that this would present a problem other than if people start to rate the missions and post their own strong opinions (persuading IceFire one way or the other).
My real thought about why people aren't posting is that they don't want to give the game away to the opposition.
In my case, I want to put together an integrated campaign before I start to release my missions. Nothing personal to anyone, just that I want to make a good job of it and get friends' opinions of it before it is released.

By all means, post your B5 related missions to the public in whatever form you want to.
The missions will be rated by me based on my personal system of judging them. The best of the best (with the limited spaces we have for new team members) will be accepted onto the team should they choose to.
This process isn't just the missions but how they were presented, the percieved ideas behind them, and the philosophy that was followed in their design. I'm looking for incite, for balance, for new spins on old ideas, and im looking for creativity.
So I doubt very much that you'll be able to persuade me a whole lot, BUT, and I must emphasize this, just because someone didn't "win" the contest does not mean that the mission is bad, illconcieved or unplayable and I do recommend that you get your missions out there should you so choose.
