Well, it's officially at an end
I just finished watching the last episode of B5: "Sleeping in Light". Seeing the grand finale almost brought a tear to my eye.
And on an upnote, this is the first time I got a good look at the Blue Star.

"Babylon 5 was the last of the Babylon stations. There would never be another. It changed the future .. and it changed us. It taught us that we have to create the future .. or others will do it for us. It showed us that we have care for one another, because if we don't, who will? And that true strength sometimes comes from the most unlikely places. Mostly, though, I think it gave us hope .. that there can always be new beginnings .. even for people like us." Ranger One, General Susan Ivanova
I got a lump in my throat when I watched this.
Nice touch getting JMS to play the technician that turns out the lights.

Yup
Uncredited of course (non-speaking role) but the guy who opens the wall panel, and pulls the big switch causing the lights to go out is J Michael Stachinzski
Kewl huh!

I liked the end credits with the withestars flying over, that episode was the saddest for me because B5 ended...

Everything good and bad ends in time...
I still remember the day here in Finland when Sleeping in Light aired, it has been the most saddest episode in any TV serie what I've seen.
It has been the only TV serie episode where I almost cried. At least I shed a tear...

Hey it did make me cry....im not afraid to say it.
Babylon 5 give me views and opinions, and it made me think, and after it I feel im more of a complete person for it. Maybe thats why i defend it when others would say "the aliens look crap" or "the sets cost £5 to build" cos its not really about that for me. Its about what it stood for. The end speech by Ivanova summing a lot of it up nicely.
I also think that bit where theyre all having one last look at the station is so sad.....and the music i just love that piece of music.
the bit where sheridan is remembering his speech in the empty hall way..... well i dont know about you but i can definately relate to that....going to places that where once full of joy but are now empty and quiet ....the show relates like no other ive seen....JMS is a clever man

That music was the best in the series i recon, it was sad but in a sort of good and changing way. The last ep of season 4 had a similar theme, cos at the time it was made it was going to be the very last episode, but after filming they announced a new series. But sleeping in light is far better

Dont you mean the only person?
Dude, i loved that last episode, it was so sad. I was reading about it more in the Lurkers Guide and i almost started crying after reading it . It was brilliant. also liked the part where they show the in the ending credits the first and last time you saw the characters.
P.S. Liked the thought that Marcus is in cryogenic suspension.

Even Kosh must cry...
Yeah, so I cried, so what? B5 is a piece of work, a masterpiece. It displays so many situations, confrontations, problems and solutions; It helps us delve into the part of us that lets us explore our humanity - imagination; It lets us see change, and reform (G'Kar, Kosh[in "Interludes and Examinations"]); B5 lets us explore betrayal, distrust, rage, seduction, love, hate, anger, war, peace, politics, faith, creation, existance - Babylon 5 let us explore the universe itself (Grey 17 is missing)
Sleeping in the Light was a hard episode for me to watch (second time I've been through the series), It not only marks the end of all of B5, but also the end of 6 months of my life. (Go SciFi woo)
JMS - A man of infinate genious
And So It Begins....
All over again...

Sorry for saying this, because i know people have tried..
There are no words perfect enough to describe the last episode of Babylon 5.
If anyone has Sleeping in Light on vcd or svcd or divx or ANYTHING (on computer), for the love of god.. uhm B5, please trade me it. I will give you 5 game or program ISO's if need be. Please.
