Here it is, all of the ships work fine for me, if you have any problems please notify me. Post screenshots if you like the ships so other people can see them before downloading
( I suck at screenshots). Also because its on angelfire it may be slow or not work, if thats the case I can e-mail it to someone and they can post it, its only 1.2mb.

Ok, I checked them out. Of course the models are nowhere near the official TBP quality, but it's definitely nice to have something to play around with.
I'm currently working on making the whitestar as a bomber, and player flyable.
The balance isn't as good as in TBP, but hey, it's beta 0.1 .

Got a question: can anyone tell me which files go in which folder? I'me talking about the PCX. files mainly.

Huh? they were already in the right folders, just unzip the package, and dump everything in your freespace2/data/ folder.

No I mean, there are no folders in the zip file, so I have to place all the PCX. Pof. etc manually to the folders in which they belong.

My zip-file has folders, you sure you unzipped it properly?
But anyway, all the .pof files go to /models/ folder, .tbl files to /tables/ folder.
The pcx files are both textures and weapon effects, so I'd suggest you look at them with a picture viewer, and the place the ones looking like ship textures in /maps/ folder, and ones looking like weapons to /effects/ folder. Or just dump all of the pcx-files in both folders.
You can just try to put all of them to main freespace2 folder, but it doesn't always work.

I wanted to say just this...many of these models have serious issues, starting from the narn transport, it looks like its squashed.
The centauri transport has vanishing faces, and so on.
The sentri is beautifull though. The T-bolt is no where close as good as the one we have in conversion status. All of the ships are UnLODed.

AAAAARGH!
And when I unzip the files and then place the folders to the /data/ where they belong all the mission simulator missions disappear and I can play only the original FS2 Campaign or TBP Earth-Minbari War Demo... so there's something wrong all right!

Yes, that's right. but we have to remember that these ships were not originally made for FS2, and that causes problems. The most serious problem is with the Sunhawk, its only 160 meters long, unlodded, and has 1600(!) polys, goodbye playability.
But Haderak, I agree the thunderbolt(and none of the other ships for that matter) doesn't look nearly as good as the one in progress, but there's one BIG difference: I can fly this one now, not after several months.

thats right pera. Although their sunhawk is 1600 polys its usable (maybe except for those who own a crapy PC )
And...I textured one for th MOD so better wait for that one...
Even more...their subsystems are on the wrong places and many are even out of the model itself!!!!!
Theres one last minute news...The team realy REALY liked the sentri...even though its more poly "charged" it look fabulous...well see if Tomcats model will be sacrificed...
(countdown for him to go bezerk)

Well I thought it might cause problems. The sunhawk was very low poly, about 500, but when I added the turrets it jumped, same with the whitestar, i'll try to do them again to lower the poly counts, as for the lod, most of the ships modded for homeworld arent lodded so for some its possible for others no.
I will adress the issues with the subsystems being off place and more bugs as they come up, its that sort of detail that takes time, being why after doing this thing I have a new found respect for what the team does.
despite some of the problems, is it fun?

I like the missions with those ships, especcially the one where you have to defend Orion 7. One question: Why can Orion 7 jump??

No, it's an Orion station, located near a planet, and the player can order it to jump out... well now, that's mighty easy offcourse, in case of raiders/boarding party/minbari etc, but I don't think it's supposed to do that...

hehe every time i try to download from an angle fire page,
Angelfire does not allow direct linking
from offsite, non-Angelfire pages,
to files hosted on Angelfire.
This practice of 'remote linking' reduces
our ability to serve out the homepages
of our members quickly and efficiently.
i hate angle fire so much
