We always planned to use that ship from AoG. There are some others like the Rutarian and the Gorith.

In any case, your welcome and enjoy. When its finished of course

christ almighty that ship is HUGE. What are it's capabilities or does anyone know? Is it a match for the Sharlin or Warlock?

12 Twin Arrays, 6 Heavy lazers, 4 Energy Mine Launchers, 2 Ion Torpedo Launchers 1 Mag Gun* and a partrige in a pear tree.

It is quite a bit larger than a Sharlin, and in the hands of a good crew is a match for a Sharlin... maybe.

*The Mag Gun fires a focused atomic charge 1/4 af a mile wide at the target inflicting massive damage to the facing stucture.

If you pick and chose the right ships from AoG then you can maintain a certain feel for a race and a balance between the ships. Heavy cruisers like the Bintak and the Octurian are indeed very cool

I for one would like to see the Poseidon Supercarrier and Orbital defence platforms (eventually - I know all this is a long way off). I think missions attacking heavily fortified systems would be cool, like Endgame.

Nice screenshots BTW.

When will you guys learn size matters not?
The bintak is big but that doesnt mean it can deflect minbari weapons. It can take more punishment though. The narn ships are an amalgamation of different technologies and thus unbalanced, if you see its armament list youll see it quite primitive compared to minbari's. Lasers???
Besides, even togh the sharlin is not the biggest ship in B5 universe it certainly has more numerous and powerfull weaponery array per sqaure Mile ( )than any other.
The mag gun cant be used if the ship isnt fast enough to aim it, providing its not hit first.

Smile hehehe

See the power of the Bin'Tak

My guess is that is a Bin'Tak jumped in at the SIDE of a Sharlin ond opened fire, it would win. head to head? dunno...

I doubt that a Bin'tak could beat a Sharlin. Its definately a powerful vessel to be used at the Center of a Battlegroup.

One of these babys VS a Octurion should be entertaining

Not to break the mood of the conversation but I'd just like to take the time to double the notion on requesting the EA Poseidon Carrier. I remember it was on the models list on your old site and it's not there now. I hope you haven't reconsidered putting the ship in the Mod, though I know the fighters can't take off or land in it, it's still the most powerful warship the EA has.

Ok you can all continue to salivate over the Bin'Tak now.

The bintak was originally a Narn secret project.... its the narn's version of the warlock... a bit bigger though

who would win in bintak vs warlock vs SHarlin? whoever gets the first shot.... though you might miss if you're fighting a sharlin

Size DOES matter. The Bintak has THREE times the mass of the Sharlin and a much thicker hull.

the bintak is just a larger narn ship with afew mroe weapons on it - i dont believe its as revolutionary as the warlock and it would get its as whipped by a sharlin they got beam cannons everywhere and the narn tech isn't that good this ship just has a hell of a alot of weapons but i'd saya warlock would whip its ass as woulda sharlin and probally the centarury octurion

another thing narn beam cannons such - ea has fusion beams cannons with the help of the shadows - and there own god platform cannons - maxi powerful weapon - narns are stuck with basic red thingys

narns are the least technilogical of the main powers

Actually....the X-Ray Particle Lasers mounted on the Omega's are very similar in power to the Narn Lasers. They aren't fusion beams, but they are fairly powerful.

The Warlock's beams are red like the G.O.D. beams but are even more powerful. Those are staight Particle Beam weapons and the ones on the Warlock are the largest and most powerful mounted on a starship. I'd wager that the effectiveness is not as good as a Minbari Fusion weapon, but that the overall impact of the weapon on another ship surpasses Fusion beams....shot for shot.

The balance in game will probably place emphasis on the fire rate of the Minbari weapons over the sheer destructive force but longer wait period for the Warlock beams.
