OK, searched all over, but....
I cannot find a copy of Freespace 2 anywhere.

Does anyone know, where I can find a copy Online?

Checked the Interplay site: no good, just FS1

Any help would be appreciated.

okay, your best bet is [url=http://barnesandnoble.com]Barnes & Noble[/url]. They have Freespace 2 Sci-Fi Sim of Year Edition (same version mine is) for $15, and it says it usually ships within 24 hours. Hope it turns out they actually have it.

What the hell do you need a joystick for? I've always played it in 3D shooter style (keyboard&mouse) and it's a whole lot easier than with a joystick. I did try a joystick once, but I could't hit anything with it.

i tried to get freespace for ages,
i tried pretty much all the online shops on the net with no luck.,
finally tho i used e-bay and i was playing freespace within two weeks

I guess I was lucky, I walked downtown and into game where they had a sale on and I got Freespace and Freespace 2 for £9.99

In the UK the Freespace/Freespace2 pack is on general sale for £9.99, Wildlife must just have been unlucky

the strange thing is I could never find a copy of it when I stayed in Scotland, but as soon as I moved to England I got a copy

Just thought that since it was a flight sim, it would be easier.
Well then, I'll just hold off on the joystick till I test it out a couple of times.

Just how much of a learning curve is there on this game.
Say similiar to SFC- SFCOP.

Or is it like Wing Commander ?

joystick doesn't work all that well with FS2...

at least i don't think so, I do a lot better with the mouse

nope, i got freespace 1 months ago, before it came out in the pack with fs2.
it only cost me £4 i think

GET A JOYSTICK!!!

I can't belive some of you are playing with a mouse and keyboard!

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Forcefeedpack Pro 2 Myself.

I'll be getting the Microsoft Strategic Commander to use in tandem as an 8-way throttle and command interface

Mouse and keyboard... my god.
