not really mod related but helpful if answered

I just upgraded the RAM on my comp to allow for more ships in FRED 2. Now when I run the mission it acts slower of course. Does the slower running have anything to do with how much RAM is assigned to video memory? Right now 11MB of RAM are allocated to video memory. Does anyone know how to allocate additional RAM to video memory. My comp did have 64MB of RAM but now has been upgraded to 320MB. Can anyone help me?

I have nVidia card, don't see how you can change it in properties window (unless if u have PCI card). But, you can change it when u go to bios and change AGP aperture size for example to 128mb.

Go to control panel
Display
Settings tab
Advanced button
[TNT2 model 64 or appropriate] tab
Additional properties button
'PCI texture memory size' area and change value to desired

Hope this helped

hmmmm, I get to the "Advanced" tab but can't seem to get any further. I don't see a TNT2 model 64 or anything like that. Is there any other way to get to wherever it is I need to get to in order to change the allocated RAM?
