Can a nova beat a tinashi if they start out of each other's weapon's range? I'd make a mission to test it but i'm a retard when it comes to fred2.

If they start out of each other weapon's ranges and moves closer, Tinashi would get her beams on the Nova before the Nova could start firing. However, if you attacked a Tinashi from behind you could quite possibly win - only 2 anti-fighter beams on the back of one. For full on engagements however, the Minbari seem to win hands-down every time - A Sharlin can defeat 2 Novas and 2 Hyperions and an olympus really quite easily.
You could try having a Nova jump a Sharlin from behind and send fighters to try and take all the rear beams down as quickly as possible... hey! I like that idea, think I'll have a shot at it in FRED

in the demo missions me and a trusty hyperion took down a tinashi - it was just begging for it - sitting there and not jumping out who wasn't tempted to take it out?

In that group photo the nova's turrets are facing forward - the way they should be IMHO... so why is it that the novas' turrets in the TBP missions are facing up and down when not shooting at anything?? Looks kinda weird, doesn't it??
I know I know, there probably is some sort of a logical explanation (maybe the FS2 engine?) but just thought I might as well ask you.
