What mission do you want?

I have made a mission for TBP, but Im out of ideas with the limited fighters. I found it was no fun, IMHO, flying the Nail because of its main weapon. The laser takes up too much room and makes it hard to see, also the fact that it is just like firing a para machine gun at someone with an mp5 (too powerful against Auoras). I also found that shooting raider ships isnt too much fun....so, I have made a B5 vs. Clark mission, but its nothing special (Big 2 part convoy attack).

SO, what do you want me to make? I have FRED2 open right now, I copied some old backround from a mission released months ago, and got a jumpgate positioned nicely. Any requests?

I know many of you make your own, but if anyone wants a mission made, Ill do it. Im bored......

Ideas:

a) Colony Risings

Could be convoys, Zephyrs and Starfuries against EA cruisers and Starfuries

Missions for both sides

b) Minbari Attack on a Colony

freighters and heavy EA cruisers with huge starfury escort agains small Minbari task groups without Sharlins but 1 or 2

c) more Raider missions for bothe sides

Perhaps even the same missions from different points of view.

Missions for both sides

PS: I like flying Nials... the thing with the guns is realistic although they seem to look distorted in the cockpit view. Perhaps the beams should drain more power so you have to wait to reload the weapons.

I just want never ending waves of friendy and enemy fighters/cap ships duking it out. I'm sure it's easy to make but i suck at fred2, even with instructions from one of the TBP members i can't make the minbari beams fire, i be dumb!

Whee!

i made on TvT mission you probably know that "Deimos duel" mission...so i made "Hyperion duel"! Its almost impossible to beat with starfuries when those hyperions are shooting...and more than that i addad a orion station center of map and its shooting both teams...NWTR gets new meaning i think

EDIT: oh yeah and that mission is over when your team beats other teams hyperion

Thanks for the imput. I started a pretty simple fighter one for now. Cap ship fights arent too fun without huge beams, for now. I still like them though.

How does this sound?

I have 3 wings of EA fighters and an Olympus cruiser answer a distress call. They enter the field of engagement, and the convoy send one last message, then is finally destroyed. Nothing you could do. So, we engage, and they call in their own cruiser. They are using either Zephyrs or Auroras (I have em Auroras for now) and you fight. Cruiser vs. cruiser, and fighters. I need a twist....I think Ill just add more wings, and a second rave of transports or whatever to guard.

I will look into your ideas too, thanks.

ONE thing though......I dont do briefings. I havent learned that. Do you all really care? I have music, command briefing and normal briefing, messages and what not in ever mission. good enough?

anyone know how many hyperions or how many novas can take out a sharlin?

the slicer beams destroy all my EA cap ships, before the minbari get in EA's weapon's range!

I dont wanna die all the time!

oh and yeah...minbari weapons should drain WAY more power... makes it more level/balanced without sacrificing anything important.

What power are you refering to? If your talking about the Nial, just try it and see what the AI does with it. Its crappy.

Some things are done for a reason.

The only way a Nova could successfully engage a Sharlin would be to jump in at close range and hope to hell that the fighters are able to take out enough beam weapons and catch the Minbari off guard.

Okay, Ive got 2 missions done.

Each has a 2 part command briefing, music, ingame messages and of course, shooting and flying.

There are no ships bigger than the Orion station; no Novas or Hyperions.

The first mission is answering that distress call. You fight Zephyrs and a cruiser, while defending your own. Then antoher convoy enters which you must protect to the next jumpgate. I havent lived long enough for the second convoy to come in....which may be a good thing. Easy missions suck. It seems pretty balanced though.

Mission the second is an attack on Sheridans forces. As a member of Clarks evil regime, you enter to attack Sheridans secret supply lines. You engage a convoy, and then a station. Pretty tough, but this is the better of the two.

If you 'beat' the mission, I just have a goodjob message or whatever.....no debriefing or briefings before hand, or any of that. If you gimme a site or address where I can dump em off, you can play them.

I have taken your advice also, and my next mission will be a hunt for Byron, as he tries to escape into Minbari hands.

Damn.. I think we forgot to add asteroids in our mod .. we the FS2 are good for this job...
u can set a mission in a asteroid field raider harrasing some transport(not to many transport ship in this demo...u can set some unarmed cruiser as a military transport ships) ..any way the real civilan trafic will be in the next release.

How do I add an asteroid field? Ive never tried. Is it just the asteroid tab?
