Victory Class......Obsolete?
Did anyone else notice, how when it showed us Sheridans death (20? can't remember) 20 years after the second last episode, the ships are NOT Victories, none of them we saw were, I believe, howeve, the ISA was still using a form of White Star (minor modifications I think, saw it a while ago though), and the Victory has either not been fully implemented or was not powerful enough to be useful.

Yup, when B5 episodes were filmed, they didn't have complete Victory model then IIRC.

READ:
The Bluestar, AKA official name "SnubNose Whitestar" is exactly 52.12 meters long , whereas the whitestar is 475.6 meters long.
(According to the official size charts by Tim Earls).

It was made at the end of Season 4 because they didn't know if Season 5 would happen. He always had a 5 year arc, but he was forced to condense the arc a bit to fit everything into Season 4 if the show was canned. So Sleeping in Light was filmed so that it would fit wherever.

What speeds do you think Whitestars will be doing in freespace2? Give a number if you can.

Probably 80m/s. Its not a really big deal either.
I set at Sharlin at 60m/s and it wasn't rediculously fast. Fighters are still more mobile because they have burners and because they can turn on a dime.

80 would be great, does the AI lose control of capships at very high speeds?

Actually, no.
They just look a bit dumb.
Try out making TBP-capships go 200m/s and fighters 400m/s, that's just pure fun

No, because AI will think it as a fighter/bomber and behaves correctly.
Edit: Making things a bit easier to understand:
Every ship has a table entry, you can set the ship to be a fighter, bomber, transport, freighter, cruiser, corvette, capital.
Those flags makes it a bit easier to AI behave correctly, Whitestar will be a bomber but not player-flyable. Bluestar will be player-flyable though, so don't worry too much about that.

I saw a clip from a Legend of the Rangers commercial on Scifi, and it looks like the Excalibur gets trashed in the movie, since there were a couple of the new alien ships pumping beam fire into her tail. Kinda a shame, I always liked that ship.
BTW, how complete is the White Star model?

Damn, If I just would get Scifi-channel here in finland...
Edit:
I don't think the team even has a Whitestar model, of course there is that "unofficial" one, but they probably won't be using it.
