Angry What the HELL just happened?!

I was downloading the core files (tbp_core.zip) from ajatollah's site (hell if I remember how to spell it), when it comes back "Message from FTP Server: 550 No Such File"

Fine, I go to get it from 3D Downloads. 19% later, IT comes back with another "Message from FTP Server: 550 No Such File"

Now I go to FilePlanet, and the ONLY public server is in Italy, and even it doesn't have the file on the site!!

So, at risk of being redundant, just what the hell is going on here??

Sounds kind of strange that different servers are giving the same message.

I jut downloaded the entire 130 meg instead. It took longer but I didn't have any trouble with it.

Probably a WB conspiracy attempting to shut us down...and when I first started d/ling the thing, I tried the 130 mb file, but I got similar messages to the ones from 3d Downloads and Ajatollah's Site. I'll try it again tomorrow, but I've already got everything but the core files...seems a bit too much trouble for such a small section.

Ok, since I'm apparently a total moron, will someone be kind enough to explain how to access the alt.binaries.test newsgroup

I'm hoping to just finish off the tbp_core.exe file since I've already got about 12 megs of it already d/led. And it's still giving me the 550 error message. Probably the servers are crashing from the demand; at 3d Downloads, the tbp core module was #4 out of their top ten downloads, and at the Fileplanet Italy server, it was 3/10.

Yes, Drakhas, but not everyone can experience the wonderful world of broadband, mainly because I live in a rather inaccessible locale, and the nearest phone transfer station is 4 miles away...so close and yet so far...

That, and I think $50 a month for DSL is price gouging. But then, I'd rather pay that and ditch this second phone line than put up with a 21.6k connection for eternity.

Alrighty, I'll give the 130 meg a try. But not at home, no, I'm gonna try to use the school's ISDN line to get this sucker, but it's a waste of time since I've got everything but the core modules.

Hey, Ice, is there a way to set up some more mirrors for the core mod?
