problem...

hi people,

i was really looking forward to tbp, but i just cannot get it working...
when trying to load the first real mission (after the training missions, which i have skipped) i get the windows screen and an error message:
Error: Invalid weapon name.

In sexpression. (when
(true)
(good-secondary-time
"friendly"
100
"Cyclops"
"Belisarius"

)
)(Error appears to be: Cyclops)
File:C:\projectsßfreespace2\code\Mission\Missio
nParse.cpp
Line 3552

and so on

when i click to enable the debugger, i get 2 more error messages of the same style and the game quits.
and BTW i dont have any weapons in any of the training missions and the briefings are the ones of fs2 !
but i am totally sure i selected my fs2\data folder.

i am desperate, please can anyone help?

I got that error once but it was due to the fact I am assuming since I had stuck the table folders in a separate directory since I went into multiplayer. Extract the core files again and manually copy and past every Table file back into C:/Games/Freespace2/data/tables directory then try it again if that does not work.

Manually copy and past each and every file into the directory it coensides with for FS2. When you extract all the files from the Core files, animations, music, and high res each folder it creates on your desktop is the exact folder found inside the C:/Games/freespace2/data just copy each file from the extracted folder to its sister folder within the Freespace2/data directory.

1 Other thing I did do after putting all the tables back in was running the setreg.exe whcih comes with one of the downloads of Mod I believe it comes with the High Res one. Try all of the above if that don't I'm not sure whats going on without talking 1 on 1 with ya.

Umm..... Boxleitner? are you sure that you went to campaign room and chose the "Earth-Minbari war demo", I only asked because this mod has no training missions. So I think you actually tried to play the main fs2 campaign.
