Question

Will I have to download the core-files again when there will be new ships, missions and stuff like that?

Not quite...dont worry the team debated just this a few days ago, when we release new ships and/or campaign all you gotta do is add the models and a few other files to the DEMO you already have. It wont be too big..

No, as we have said several times before:

You don't have to download full packages anymore, only updates.
This means you have to have all packages from earlier releases, otherwise new release (which is just an update to earlier release) won't work.

We might put several release on same big package sometimes, but don't trust on it.
