are you sure about 512x512 not working with TNT2 cards

if FS2 supports 512x512 and TNT2 is a card newer than FS2, dont you think TNT2 will support 512? I was just about to install the highres pack when it said it wont work with Voodoos and TNT2...

so you guys sure or were you guessing?

Who's been playing a wizard again?

Yes, TNT2 supports 512x512 textures, infact up to texture sizes 2048x2048. But it alone will not be enough to make texture sizes over 256x256 to show up in fs2 (same for ALL cards). You need some registry tweaking. We will supply a small patch program with the core release which will enable them.

The registry tweaking is included in this archive .
It is automatically launched when you have extracted the tbp-highres package and auto-applies the change to the registry.

When you have extracted highres-package you are asked to launch REGSET.EXE , this is it.

Sorry , I wrote it in the txt file coz someone told me VOODOO 2 and TNT series up to TNT 2 wouldn't support highres. IF they do , well , that's fine

Actually...TNT's can do 1024x768 textures I think. Both TNT cards were far in advance of the Voodoo line in terms of texture sizes and color depth.
