Red Faction Watch: Lots of updates.
Posted by Alphakiller:
Today, at Guru3D, the Red Faction Worldwide Demo is their "Featured Download" with a link to get it from Gigex's mirror. Just in case you haven't gotten it yet.
Brad Custer from Inside Mac Games makes wallpapers for your computer desktop. And he's made one for Red Faction. It's called Miner's Delight and you can grab 9 different sizes (from 640x480 to 1600x1200) as well as check out some of his past work. So, if you're interested (and it is a pretty sweet piece of work) go right here, right now.
XGR.com - a web-radio station dedicated to gamers, did an interview with Rob "Lofty Dog" Loftus (I wonder if he likes that nickname? Heh.) ... just under half an hour's worth of audio (4 segments, ranging from 5-8 minutes each) they covered Rob's gaming background, the RF backstory, Geo-Mod, "the next step in realism," weapons, vehicles, PC/PS2 differences, "What still amuses Rob in this game" and gamer-submitted questions.
They're up for download as mp3s, and if you want to listen to the station itself, make sure you have Winamp Shoutcast.
Turn up the volume.
While you're at XGR.com, why not read their preview/review/thing of Red Faction? You know you want to. Not only is the reviewer pretty positive about the enhancements of the PC version, it picked up an XGR Seal of Approval and, even more impressive, Red Faction is the second game - EVER - to get one of those. Yay!
Games Domain has put up a review of the PC version of Red Faction, giving it a 4 of 5 stars. The reviewer guy sums it up by saying "Red Faction is one of only a few first-person shooters released since Half Life that aficionados can be immensely satisfied with . . . In any case, we have no qualms about awarding Red Faction a Highly Recommended stamp of approval, which has set some high standards for the upcoming action titles to meet this holiday season."
So it's got a "highly reccomended" stamp on it, and that means you want to Click right here.
And last, but not least, (it's not my fault the inbox sorts 'em this way) the German gaming eZine KGN has an interview with - you guessed it - James Tsai! Not only in English (Click here for that.) but also in, and this is a surprise, German. Even though this is more Ultorcorp.de's territory, click here.
Wow! Tons of updates. Some late, my apologies. But some are actually brand-new and on time, so it's not ALL bad ...
