Truespace
I will be reciving truespace 5 very soon, I will be posting here often to ask questions so I thought I would give you guys a heads up. I have a few questions to start off, can you texture with truespace or do you need another program? Anyway I should know how to use it in about a month and I would be happy to make models for you guys, and I'll also put in a few ships of my own desing that I think everyone would like, there mostly shadow, and there good desings.

Truespace is used to apply COMPLETED textured to a model.
You also have to have a paintprogram like PaintShopPro7
And you need the BRIGHT color depth reducer some teammembers can send you.

A word of warning when 'applying' to models in TS5 (when not adding textures) - the Material Editor has a very annoying bug that produces a fatal error when trying to render with too many colours with reflectance/bump shaders. It can also sometimes stop the system from running completely!
The Suppor tpeople will tell you this is a video card/RAM/swap file problem, but the simple fact is it is the program which is playing up. I know this because I've spent the better part of a month arguing with them about adding it to patch 5.2.

it cannot be the video card because TrueSpace doesn't use your video card to accelerate the rendering (IT SHOULD!)

They said it does if you use NT?!?
Something about the MSVCRT.DLL settings being incompatible when running high-poly models.
