3D Action Planet has just released their review of the Red Faction demo. Although not very long or in-depth, it gives one a quick run through of the demo and pointing out the high and low point. One great quote from the article is as follows:

Using a subtractive Boolean operator, explosive devices can manipulate the geometry of the map - to put it simply, you can blow the levels into god damn Swiss cheese. The effects of your weapons can range anywhere from the destructible walls we fell in love with in Duke 3D to the crater-filled battlefields of latter-day Mechwarrior titles, either blowing open passages into new areas, or merely punching holes into the walls, floors and ceilings.

Simply amazing. However, the review isn't completely in love with Red Faction, as some low points they talk about include some beef about some indestructible terrain and some weapon damage. Anyways, if you haven't had a chance to download the hefty 127 MB demo, maybe this will make your decision for you
