Yeah, I used my l33t English skillz (which I'll forgo right now) to understand what you were saying.
If I cover enough bases around hitpoints, engines, and whatnot (which is actually calculated as a percentage of the ships overall hitpoints) then I'll probably answer what you were asking.
The reason why the hitpoints are low is actually because of the percentage calculation. The Hades hitpoints were once double what they are now, so the engine subsystem was also double what it is now. The engine was relatively weak in FS1 with double hitpoints, so with half, its alot more susceptable to being disabled by only a few bursts of gunfire.
