I'm using blender to make a first ship model. And I was wondering if there was some way I could, like say I cut a ball in half and the *glue* it back together again? Under stand what I'm saying? Help me please!

as the local Blendermaniac, yes, there is. select both sides (Hold Shift whil selecting) then press space, mesh - join selected
they are now joined back together.
