Ok I want a Descent 3 mod for freespace so can someone please goto [url="http://www.freedrive.com"]www.freedrive.com[/url]
log in as jcarthew
password is: mine
and download the Descent 3 ships from there. Can they then texture them and convert them to Freespace. I can't texture so Someone else has to do it othwerwise I'd do it myself.

I will not just play descent! I own every game under the name Descent so you listen up.
I have played through descent 3 and I liked it. I want to fly those ships in space. I have already finished moddeling Shiva Station and I want to get the fighters done. I can't texture well though so I need help.

The aim isn't for it to be different. The aim is to be able to dogfight in open space in the descent ships without movement restrictions. I want to mak a UED cruiser and do strafing runs on it not just fly around in some enclosed mine or some planet surface.

I've played Descent since it first came out so I recommend you don't make D-ships in FreeSpace, I'm already a good dogfighter, but I'm better at Descent....

One problem: The sixth degree of freedom. FS2 has the ability for ships to slide, but doesn't have an option in the control menu for it.

Yeah, just apply FS2 physics to the D3 ships. I mean, sliding in general kind of bends Newton's Laws pretty heavily...

That's exactly what I mean. Imagine flying around in freespace 2 in those really cool descent ships blasting up some shivan arse!
If I do get the UED cruiser done then we can have it attack shiva station (Which I've almost finished.) I reckone it would make a Cool mod.
