old olympus (no smoothing) :
new olmpus (with smoothing) :
old god sat (incorrect smoothing) :
new god sat (correct style smoothing) :

sharlin now has fairly good smoothing (although its not so well seen in this picture) :
new nial (thanks to xaphods retexturing, and slight editing by myself, smoothing was already enabled) :

technique? It works out very nice (I really like the G.O.D.!)

Very nice work CptWhite. The GOD sat looks absolutely stunning. But to be honest I don't see much of a diference in the Olympus, (Probibly cause they are two different angles).

don't go oveboard on smoothing, many ships don't need it, example; Omega, should have no smoothing at all
the olympus should only have it on the cylidrical things

Im just going on the look of the cylindrical sections of the olympus............but i agree def not gonna work with many TBP ships!
