Operation Templar

I've been playing this on Medium difficulty lately, and does anyone think that the singleplayer missions are somewhat... insane?
I like a challenge, but these are really testing! I'm only on the third one and I'm pretty much stuck (I've come close!) but having the Tanis sitting on top of the hostage rescue attempt is close to overkill! I've done the mission several different ways, come close a few times, but ultimately fail. Am I supposed to fail the third one?

Sadly I'm still new to Freespace 2 (*curses flak*), so maybe I'm missing something (like good weapons or ships, been playing with those i have), but I'm so tempted to actually accept the "skip this mission" option that's come up too many times.

Mainly I'm just curious if anyone else thought the singleplayer campaign Operation Templar seemed a little harder than usual, or if I'm just not having any luck with it.

I don`t know the campaign, but recently I`ve been looking for FS2 missions and campaigns to play so I`ll check it. Just in case it`s not that easy to find - where can I find it?

Operation Templer was designed as a cooperative multiplayer campaign. The reason you're finding it so hard is because the computer isn't as good a wingman as another human would be.

Ah ha! I thought my wingmen seemed a little... fodder-ish.
Well it makes me feel somewhat better that I'm sucking so badly at it, thanks.

As for where to get it, I believe I read here before that it's downloadable (archives?). I got my copy with the Sci-Fi Sim of the Year Edition.

I believe Operation Templar came with the original Freespace2 as multiplayer only. When the Sci-fi Sim of the Year Edition (SOTY) was release they included it as a single player campaign.

You can download it from me, Single Player Templar Thanks to UBERMETROID for this

I must have missed one.

No idea how I only ended up with three.

Templar only has 4 missions total?
So rescuing the hostages is the last one? I do hope so.
