I don't see the point of hanging here. No RF2 multiplayer means no reason what so ever to continue posting in these forums. I did everything I could to support Red FAction and Volition. Hell, I even purchased THQ stock hoping my contribution would, in some small way, help the effort.

I give up.

Though I'm sure if they did need to postpone releasing RF2 for the PC just to put multiplayer in, I know we all would wait for it.

too bad, i understand you leaving, though i'm haning around. I have faith in V, and I know they wouldnt do this unless they had no other choice.

I feel bad for V, THQ gives them limited time, money and creativity, and then goes "I told you so" when the game is shipped and it doesnt sell really well. Ofcourse if you make them work over-time, under-budget and under-schedule the game wont be as good as it could have been.

I never played multiplayer much, so I'm kinda ok with it. But if anyone from V is reading this (yes I know that i know next to nothing about the game biz and such but still), you guys need to do something. Its getting easier for people to dismiss your games as average if they ship without multiplayer, are ported and have no mod capabilities.

well thats it, i'll still stick around, cause FS1 and 2 and RF1 were good games (I never played summoner except the demo, though I sure it was good ), that warrant alot of slack to their developers.

I'm not an insider and have no idea who decided what and why (THQ != V != Outrage), but still i'm very pissed as well, especially because the RF community, which had no support from the makers/publishers, is dying slowly for pretty long, and had huge expectations in RF2.

RF1, and i'm sure of it, was and is perhaps the best FPS around, at least for me, with its unusual physics, weapons etc, i coudl'nt find any nearly as fun as RF itself. even if i count the cheaters, no support, small community etc, RF is my fav
now all the other ones are quake/UT-clones, bah (and i never played RF2 i also hope it's not one of them)

Don't give up yet. There are plenty of PC games that weren't going to have multiplayer, but did in the end due to community pressure. Soldier of Fortune II and SWAT 3 are two examples!

Depressing.

It is a major game overhaul (modification). All of us on the team decided to stop playing RF, which is hard cause I played nightly, long enough to finish this. WHO NEEDS RF2??!!! BAH!

Multiplayer task missions and moving vehicles will change the mood around the community.

Wait for us, we are close my friends.

Single player only and its "multiplayer" consists of botmatch....yay
