Its likely that will be the way it is.
1) Its easier to develop for one platform rather than two.
2) PS2 games sell more units because of less saturation of these types of games in the console market. RF PC didn't sell that well because theres plenty of other FPS' on the market....
That's bull**** and you know it. PS2 sales only make up 12% of THQ's market share. It's not about market share.....it's about qualified personel and customer support. Geo mod is the wave of the future for fps.......shame the company that started it isn't willing to take a chance and give it the backing it needs.

cece: It's not, because you're wrong. So PS2 sales only made up 12% of THQ's sales. Fine. How about PC sales? How much did THAT make up? Without that number your PS2 statistic is worthless.
Plus, it's a proven fact RF2 PS2 sold MANY more copies than the PC version did, so it does make perfect sense.
Get complete information next time.

All consoles sell more than thier PC counter parts, so you cant compare those figures either. Red Faction was on the top ten list for PC games for quite some time, any PC game that can make the top ten list for even 1 week is considered a success by most companies, esspecially when you are competeing against games such as The Sims and Roller Coaster Tycoon. Some of the most popular PC games out there only sold 400,000-600,000 copies. Not sure of the exact total for RF.
Actually the only way to sell a ton of games is to add Pokemon.
Red Faction 2: Attack of the Pokemon sells 3 million units in 1 week.

You just figured out part of the reason why THQ's primarily a console publisher, and their development studios are console-oriented, ace.
More sales == more money!

Except "The Sims" which is an exception to everything rational, i dunno if the console version is going to beat the sales fiqure of the original PC version.

Im not suprised by the fact that Volotion is not making RF2 for PC,
most other devolopers do the same with there game, so why should Volition be any exception? If where lucky (wich we wont be), they will make a bad conversion of the PS2 version to the PC
with lame MP support and no Editor what-so-ever. RF editor was worthless (in my opinion) and i didnt see much good mods. Just look at HL and UT, there community have made tons of hi-quality mods, and thats because
1: They had (and still have) the best Editors on the market,
i mean just HOW can you like the camera controls in RED?
UED and LithTechEd( NOLF, AVP1/2 etc..) has the best controls,
but why cant the users choose the controls, like they can do in-game? I know a little about C++ programming and its about 5-minutes of work to make a menu where the user can choose his owns controls. I have long tryed to make MODers to react agianst such behaivior, but its no use, soon there will be no games with mod support and everyone just lets it happen.
2: Valve and Epic have released a lot of info on there game-engines and how you import your own sounds, scripts etc. and i havent seen much of that from Volition.
And if we MODers dont react, there will not be much MOD support in the future, but my words are useless. No one listens to me.
We might as well forget about MODing, Level designing, programming and go buy a console and become brainless idiots all of us.

RF2 had a fantastic showing at E3.
Great reviews for the Playstation version could, maybe, possibly, hopefully, say your prayers, and brush your teeth twice a day, mean we might stand a snowball's chance in North Dakota of seeing it come out for the PC.
But don't hold your breath...cause then you'd be all blue and die and that would be yucky.

Don't lose hope. No one has gone out and said there won't be a PC version yet. I mean.. just look at RF1. The PS2 version was out months before the PC version came out.. they could be just doing the same thing to us this time around.
