Multiplayer?

hey im new, and i like to say this is the best mod.

Every time I go to multiplayer is say I have no guns selected but there are no guns?.

I play multiplayer on lan on coop since freespace 2 is the only coop game out there, is his mod going to be coming to multiplayer, and can the single player missions be played on multiplayer?

Yes you can play FS2 with mod installed, thats for certain or then my computer is acting quite odd, since I have played TBP online more than couple times

If you have modded FS2 PXO just doesn't count scores nothing more. Still you might have modified TBP tables that could cause this weapon disappear, so try with orginal TBP tables.

when FS2 Open 3.6 comes out TBP will be moving to FSO - FS2 Open 3.6 will contain the NEW multiplayer tracker code that fully supports mods [and validations of those mod's tables, and mission validation]

Notes:
* Stats will store on mods
* Validity of said mod will be enforced
* Validity of mod missions will be enforced

When will this be available:
Shortly after FS2Open 3.6 and TBP 2.1 are released

(will perhaps be a TBP 2.2 update to enter all the required info)

Don't take it as a given that TBP will move to fs2_open after 3.6 is released. It may not very well be the case.

i stopped listening to your opinions a while ago - when you said you were quiting

I am doing what it takes to keep us alive and progressing. FS2 Open is stable enough now, and has features we need to do it right and have just been dancing around before.

Now that FS2Open is stable enough, things are going to get done right now. I was brought into TBP a long time ago as technical adviser and kick-people-in-the-butt-and-make-them-work

I do both, and enjoy it - and I expect my technical advisor status to be respected, and as you know I am a holy hell when it is not.

Yeah yeah whatever. Personally I'd like if TBP moves to use fs2_open soon, but that move requires that all major members of the team approves it. At least that's how I'd like it to happen, internal conflicts are not nice.

And I still might quit, it all depends on next fred2_open now. Original fred2 has become a little to boring. 5 years of fredding has it's own toll.

It'd probably be pretty easy to make the move to SCP once the next edition comes out that Kazan has mentioned. The version 3.6 with FRED to accompany it. At the moment, lots of cool features are available but there are so many versions and bug fixes being made its hard to develop on it. That will change for sure!

don't develop on intermediary builds - only official releases (aka "stable builds")

3.6 should roxors we're bughunting like mad, and i think the 130 ships limit imposed by multi has just been squashed (i upped max packet size from 512 to 4096 .. but i just realized that can cause fragmentation.. so meh more work)

Kind of hard not to if you want to take advantage of any new features. Just a statement of fact in any case.

stable builds come out every so often.. there is one coming up in the not too distant future - and the way you take advantage of features doesn't change between builds - so you can use the CVS snapshot builds for authoring/testing then release with the next stable
